Meeting locations

There are two primary locations for activities related to the ASXL Research Symposium and Family Conference:

  • Arnold J. Capute Conference Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute

  • Residence Inn Baltimore at Johns Hopkins Medical Campus

It is a 1.5 block walk (approximately 3 minutes on flat, level sidewalks) between these two locations.

Arnold J. Capute Conference Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute

The Arnold J. Capute Conference Center is located on the 8th Floor of an office building that is part of the Kennedy Krieger Institute campus. The building is located on online maps as “Kennedy Krieger Institute Ashland Outpatient Center.”

The Arnold J. Capute Conference Center at Kennedy Krieger Institute is the location of:

  • ASXL Research Symposium (Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19)

  • ASXL Family Conference educational programming (Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21)

  • All onsite research participation opportunities for families except blood collection

Please note that adults will be required to present identification to enter the building as part of the security screening process.

Residence Inn Baltimore at The Johns Hopkins Medical Campus

The Residence Inn Baltimore at The Johns Hopkins Medical Campus is the designated hotel for the ASXL Research Symposium and Family Conference and the location of dinners on Friday and Saturday evening.
