Share your work at the ASXL Research Symposium

Submit your abstract by Monday, June 1

The poster session at the ASXL Research Symposium is a vibrant home to discussion and collaboration. We welcome you to share your work with the ASXL research community by submitting an abstract for the poster session on Thursday, June 25 from 5:30-6:30pm.

Abstract criteria

Abstracts focused on basic, translational, and clinical research will be considered on broad range of topics that advance our understanding of the ASXL genes and medical management of their related disorders. Abstracts may include work from related fields if the work includes insights that could be translated to the ASXL community.

Examples of related work includes:

  • Phenotyping studies for similar neurodevelopmental disorders

  • Model systems for similar genes or mechanisms

  • Therapeutic approaches for similar disorders

  • Other clinical or translational work that the ASXL community could learn or benefit from

Submission instructions

Complete the online submission form by Monday, June 1, 2026 which includes:

  • Contact information for the author

  • Author’s CV or biosketch

  • One-page scientific abstract

  • 3-5 sentences describing the abstract in lay terms

Poster presenter guidance

  • Authors of accepted posters must present their posters in person on Thursday, June 25 at the Sheraton Ann Arbor from 5:30-6:30pm.

  • Presenting authors must be registered to attend the ASXL Research Symposium.

  • Posters will be affixed to piece of foamboard and set on an easel. The dimensions of each foamboard is 36” wide by 24” tall. Posters may be of any material and any size within the dimensions of the foamboard. Presenting authors are responsible for the costs of producing their posters.

Abstract review

The ARRE Foundation’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board and scientific staff are responsible for reviewing applications and making programming decisions. Recipients must present their work in-person at the poster session at the ASXL Research Symposium the afternoon of Thursday, June 25.
